Get to know the UMFA’s permanent collection of modern and contemporary art in this reinstallation of key works from the last five decades. The 1960s and 70s saw sweeping changes in society and politics, as well as in the realm of art, with many artists responding to pressing political concerns. Then & Now highlights parallels between art and societal events both of the past and of our own moment, featuring a special video presentation by acclaimed British artist Phil Collins, entitled baghdad screentests (2002).
